One less college

One of the university's residential colleges is closing down. It has been affiliated with the university for 40 years but isn't owned by the university. It operates jointly as a theological college but isn't one of the most elite/popular colleges (no offence meant Gawain). Rather sad for all those who will be the last to live there. It has been rumoured that one of the smaller colleges will now have to become a "dry" college (alcohol-free) to comply with university regulations. I'm unsure as to whether that's correct, but it's what I've heard.
