Hot & Sunny Day

Today was such a nice sunny day that it was a shame to be inside sweltering. I headed to the park to sit in a cool shady spot, my back against a tree, absorbing the tranquillity. It's a good place to be if you want to relax. Tree-lined pathways meander through sculptured lawns and flowerbeds. Park benches are dotted throughout but on a sunny day it's just as nice to sit on the grass. The only sounds to be heard was the distant hum of traffic and children playing nearby. Bliss.
