Music night

College music night was on last night. Was fairly enjoyable apart from the second to last act which just made me cringe. Stand out piece of the night was definitely Stephanie's rendition of Liza Loeb's "Stay".

It was such a haunting, poignant song accompanied only with guitar. A very impressive performane which rightly earned Stephanie a standing ovation.

Joanna did a very nice violin piece instead of the piano solo she had rehearsed. Kudos to her for being able to change at such short notice. The Japanese Girls Choir performed "Shima Uta", a mellow folk song that provided a welcome change from the lineup of traditional classical music.

Random funny acts of the night included "Short People" by Jia Hui and the "Midgets", and Master Bates & Co. with a bawdy Monty Python-esque song.
*Cringes at the reminder of nudity*

An enjoyable break from my usual routine of study. Only break that I'll have til the end of next week. Stayed up into the wee hours of the morning and walked home with vesper at around 3am. Unfortunately the late night meant that I slept through my first class and was only just in time for my second one (which I managed to just stay awake for). However it turns out that the mean lecturer has decided to put our notes back on the internet which means it doesn't matter too much that I missed the first class. ^_^
