Field trip
Our field trip today was awesome apart from the cold and rain. All of the theory makes a lot more sense when you can put it to some practical use. Scenery was quite nice too.
Here's a few of the photos I took. Couldn't take many because I had to write notes and answer questions etcetera.
An oasis in the middle of the city.
Plenty of trees and open space. *sigh* Reminds me of home.
Water. Oh and wait....yep, more water.
On top of the world.
It was starting to rain by the time my group had finished (about 10-15 minutes after everyone else) and there was only a couple of us left. Got talking with my demonstrator and it turns out her surname is the same as mine. What's even more freaky is she has a sister with the exact same name as me. O_o She's only little bit older than me and is a lawyer. I now know of two other people, besides myself, in this country with MY name. Scary.
My lecturer offered us a lift back to the university but I was the only one too lazy to get the bus back. Nice warm car is much better than waiting 20 minutes in the rain for the bus. ^_^ Rather an interesting trip back because my lecturer kept telling amusing jokes and stories. Although I'm still uncertain as to whether it's a good or bad thing that he knows my name.
OMG the carpark underneath the department's building is huge. It takes up about 7 levels!! And there's this cool little bridge to get from the lift back into the main building.
Can't wait until the next field trip. Have to wait until after holidays for that one. It's on a saturday and goes for the whole day. ^_^
